In recent days, two female students in Calcutta, India, who were exposed to the nursing department of the local public medical school, were arrested on suspicion of murdering 16 pups.
On 14 September, a video was broadcast on YouTube, in which it became clear that two Indian female students, with bamboo sticks, were beating a pup on a rotational basis, and that the dog, whose body was twisted because of pain, could not escape, and that desperate screams could only die slowly. After the dog died, one of the women took the body of the pup and left the scene.
Immediately after the fermentation of the incident, the local police station went to arrest two female students, who stated that, according to two female students, they had used this method to kill as many as 16 pups, whose bodies were packed in three garbage bags and thrown into the dump.
A three-page investigation report was submitted on 16 January, when the school set up a committee specifically for this matter and assisted the police in conducting further investigations. It was mentioned that the students involved were responsible for the killing of animals and that they were not allowed to attend school until the investigation had been completed.
The police also indicated that if two women were found guilty after the investigation, they would probably later be barred from attending school.
