Such dogs continue to be adopted as a result of the neglect of stray dogs or abandoned dogs and even their capture by the authorities. Over the years, he had adopted over 700, thus winning the title The DogFather.

Shukla is the owner of a technology company in Bangalore, the country's major tech town. This company was founded 10 years ago, and because of its good performance, he can lead a luxury life. However, he was neither satisfied nor happy at the mental level, and it was not until 2009 that he adopted a golden hound that made sense.
This beautiful bitch was met by Shukla at the corner. It looked at him a little timid, but he knew it tried to trust him. He felt a special feeling, and even his scalp was numb. Three months after his adoption, he met another stray dog in the street and took it home.
Thereafter, Shukla brought home any stray or abandoned dog. With the increasing number of dogs in the family, he and his wife were no longer able to afford them, and most of them were moved to the company, using the first floor of the office as a dog's nest.

In 2011, following a large-scale operation by the Indian authorities to kill stray dogs, Shukra established the Voice of stray dogs in Bangalore to rescue stray dogs in the city. Today, it is the world ' s largest urban stray dog rescue organization.
With the increasing number of stray dogs or abandoned dogs rescued by the organization, Shukra learned of the need to set up shelters and built a dog shelter in nearby towns in 2012. Most of the dogs held here are old or sick or simply abandoned. The most recent count shows that 735 dogs were adopted in the shelter.
The shelter currently employs 10 people to look after the dogs, including veterinary assistants. They eat 200 kilograms of chicken and rice per day, many of which must be treated regularly. All costs, taken together, cost between $650 and $750 per day, 95 per cent of which was paid by individuals in Shukra.
The shelter, according to Shukla, is the last stop for the dogs, and they are no longer cute and attractive to embrace, much ill and no one wants it, but that is why their lives must be made as happy and comfortable as possible.
When he was interviewed by the media, he spoke out in the hope that people would do their best to help their dogs when they saw them need help. In his last words, he said, "Dogs are the best friends of human beings, are they the best friends of dogs?"
