The head of the animal rescue service, Chen Wende, mentioned that the visit had revealed that he was unable to go without the required elements of the Act, together with the fact that the decree did not stipulate that vegetarians could not have dogs; moreover, he pointed out that the dog only had parasites of its own and had gone to hospital for treatment to determine that the dog had died naturally from a disease rather than artificially. He stressed, however, that the cause of death of the dog would be further investigated.
