For the volunteers involved in the rescue of stray dogs, there is a real hope that every dog can be saved. Today's story is about saving an old dog. The incident occurred in Beijing Tongzhou, where volunteers received a telephone call from two students who said that a stray dog had been found in a village in Tunzhou. When the dog was found, it was found to be particularly dirty, with some injuries on its body, sitting or lying down, and nothing moving. And from the dog's looks, it's too old to see it, and it's not gonna be around long if there's no help.
The students were also eager to leave, but instead of sending the dog to a recent hospital to examine the body, the results of which shocked them. The dog had at least three fractures all over his body, most fatally the pelvis. It's not very optimistic about the dog, so the doctor's advice is to give the dog a euthanasia. When I heard the euthanasia, the two students were a little upset, so they found volunteers in every way, hoping to give the dog a chance! When the volunteers heard about it, they came to the hospital again to hear what the doctor said about the dog.
And what the doctor said, it's hard for volunteers. Because the dog was seriously injured, it had lost both eyes and sense of smell, was unable to stand up for autonomous defecation, and there was an external wound in the leg, which could see the bones inside. Its pelvis is most severely fractured, presumably in a car accident. Doctors judge by the dog's teeth that it's supposed to be a geriatric dog over the age of 10, so the same advice is not to recommend surgery, and the chances of survival are even less.
In feeding the dog, the doctor judged all aspects of his blood by the colour of his tongue and his health was not encouraging. It's gotta be completely numb, so it won't even come down to the table. It won't have a 10% chance. Even though the hope of life is so remote, save it from that dark corner and no one wants to leave! Thus, after consultation with the two students, the volunteers unanimously decided to give it a life of hope. Before performing the operation, the doctor stated that it was still necessary to perform some blood tests to ensure that the operation could proceed smoothly.
The dog is blind and can't believe what's going on around him, but it seems to know we're trying to save it, and it's becoming uncooperative, and it's not getting down there and waiting. Shortly after the blood test came out, the dog's heart and kidneys had all failed and the other blood items were not normal. So the doctor said the dog couldn't do the operation and died on the operating table. In fact, the result was unexpected, but it was difficult to accept it for a moment. Fate is uncertain, and perhaps what we can do can only be accepted in an open manner in order to overcome every seemingly insurmountable dilemma in the present.
The volunteers did not intend to give it peace, but rather to keep it, which may never be able to stand, but may survive. Now the dog has been placed in a separate place, hoping it will spend the rest of its life in peace and pleasure! Forget the bad memories, keep the best memories, live a short life! And I hope that the dog has become like this only because it's lost by accident, not because it's abandoned.
