A Russian little girl was lost in the Siberian wilderness of bears, and only a pet dog was there to protect her. After 12 days alone, the girl was saved as a miracle.
According to the Daily Mail, the girl is named Karina Chikitova, who is now five years old and lives in a remote village in Siberia. It happened in August last year, almost two weeks after her 4-year-old was taken from her home and found lying down. On the grass bed, hungry and exhausted, and stinged with mosquitoes. The story of her miracle survival in the wild became headlines around the world.
Kalina ' s mother, Talina, stated that she was safe despite threats from bears and wolves.
Fortunately, the family dog Naida went out with the little girl, who was warm by the dog's body temperature on a very low night while eating mainly wild fruit and drinking river water.
Nine days later, the dog left the girl to call for help in a nearby village and helped the search and rescue team find the brave girl three days later.
When Carina was found, although in a weak state, she was safe and was then given long medication to recover her lost weight. Mother Tarina said to the Siberian Times, "Carina has an incredible strength."
Tarina said, "When she was found, there was not much fear in her eyes." She said that now, as before, she was running around with other children, talking a lot, as if she had not experienced fear. “But she did not want to be asked about those days, and she would be nervous if people insisted.”
The mother said, “She, too, thanks to our dog, sleeps next to her, leaving her unfrozen.” I always thought she would be found, and many people no longer believed she was alive, but, as a mother, I think she would soon be found.”
