On the morning of 23 April, the Chongqing city ferry police received a police report from the owner of a pet shop in the district that in broad daylight, a 10,000-year-old Sherari dog had been stolen from the shop, hoping that the civilian police would help recover it.

Upon being warned, the civilian police quickly arrived at the scene to view the public video in the shop. Public video shows that at the time of the incident, only the deaf girl Chen was on duty. At that time, Chen Qiu Qiang gave other pets hairdressing, and a 20-year-old man suddenly came outside the shop. First, he'd go through the door and tease the Sherry Dogs out of the pet store, and then he'd pick them up. When Chen found out that the Shellars were missing, the men were long gone.

As Liao had returned to Sichuan with the stolen Sherari dog, the civilian police called to inform him to return the Sherari as soon as possible. On 26 April, 72 hours after the incident, Liao went to the public security police station at Spring Road with a Sherari dog.
Liao replied that he was very fond of the Shellars because they were too expensive to afford, so he took the liberty of committing the theft.
At present, Liao Chiu has been held in criminal custody by the Grand Crossing Police. The case is pending. On 7 May, the owner of the pet shop travelled with a flag to the police officer in charge of the case. Chen, the shopkeeper, also thanked the civilian police in person. (Reporter Zhang Yong)
