There's a dog in England called Woody, and he's nine years old.
Over the past six years, he has given blood on a regular basis, 22 times in total, cumulatively amounting to 10,000 ml, saving the lives of about 88 dogs, which have been labelled “superstar dog”.
Woody lives in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, a Greyhound.
Linti is known in the dog world as the “gift donor”, and more than 85 per cent of her blood type can be used in all other dogs.

It takes about 10 minutes for a dog to give blood.
Before the blood donation, the vet gave the dog a comprehensive health check, weighing over 25 kg, and the dog between the ages of 1 and 8 was the best “blood donor”.
When blood is donated, the dog can stand or lie down, and then the vet will draw a pint of blood from the dog ' s neck.
Dogs hardly feel any pain, sometimes fall asleep.
Gray, the 53-year-old dog owner, said that when she saw the leaflets with her first dog, Rio, at the vet, she found a pet blood donation, which Rio gave 11 times.
"My dog gets a full health check every time he goes to make sure they donate. They went to the table and quieted down immediately, and the vet took blood from their neck veins.”
"I like that we can do this. Why don't dogs give blood to dogs?" she said.
Nicole Osborne from the pet blood bank stated that Woody had been an “absolute donor”.
“The blood is really important to our pets, just like humans, and Woody's donations will have a huge impact on the lives of other dogs across the country.
"We're proud to have him as our donor. He's really a superstar."
After the first blood donation, Woody gave blood for six consecutive years, a total of 22 times, and donated 10,000 ml of blood to save 88 dogs.

After each donation, the dog receives a gift kit to thank them for their contribution.
“The Lord is always very grateful. I've seen a lot of people, but occasionally they contact me and say, "My dog wouldn't be here without it."
“A few years ago there was a case of a dog suffering from blood disease that would have died without Woody's blood. My dog helped save the lives of all these dogs. It was wonderful."
However, as the age limit for blood dogs is between 1 and 8 years, Woody, who is nine years old this year, has announced that he will retire with honour and no more blood.
In response, following Woody's last blood donation, the British pet blood bank also gave Woody a special “retired” box, which included pottery bowls, collars and snacks, to thank Woody for his six years of service.
By the way, Woody's favorite food is cheese, cucumbers and carrots.
