According to a 9-day foreign media report, new studies by the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, held in Orlando, Florida, United States, show that dogs can detect cancer in blood samples, with an accuracy rate of approximately 97 per cent. The future dog could be an important little help to human cancer screening.
According to the British media SWNS, dogs are 10,000 times more sensitive to the smell than humans.
Through basic sounding training, researchers taught three little hounds to smell blood samples of patients with lung cancer, and dogs had an accurate rate of 96.7 per cent.
