According to residents of the Vanko Blue Hills subdistrict in the Pyoyang district of Beijing, six pet dogs in the subdistrict died after eating their ham sausages on the grasslands on 10 October. The dog owner sent the pet body to the pet hospital for testing, which confirmed that hemophilis had been poisoned. On 26 January, the reporter of the newspaper Shinjing was informed by the police station in Xinyang that he had been warned by citizens and had intervened in the investigation.
According to Ms. Lee, on the morning of 10 October the dog started vomiting when she walked home. She found ham sausage in vomit. She claims that the ham intestinals were not fed at home and that the dog was supposed to be outside. Ms. Lee had three pet dogs in her home, two of which had the same symptoms that day and died very quickly. The other is in the hospital.
Ms. Lee took the body of the dog to the nearby pet hospital for examination. “Doctors say that the cause of death is isopolythic poisoning. The doctor suspects that someone was deliberately hiding in the sausage." She understood that six dogs had been poisoned in the district that day. After the incident, the residents of the district were very concerned.
Following the incident, a reporter from the newspaper Ninkyi arrived in the Vankor Blue Hills district and found that the district was under closed management, that it required a closed card to enter the district, and that property services were very strict and that strangers were not allowed to enter. Security stated that the police had been called and cooperated with the police. The civilian police on duty at the police station in the Yangtze district indicated that they had intervened in the investigation.
According to counsel, U Lihon, Director of Comp Law in Beijing, pet dogs are the property of the owner, and the poison dog is liable to legal compensation for the damage caused by the poison dog to its owner, and may also constitute the intentional destruction of property if the damage caused by the poison dog amounts to a certain amount. It may also constitute the offence of delivering dangerous substances if the drug was dropped in a way that could cause poisoning to others.
