According to The Dodo, starting a year ago, every night a stray dog comes outside the door of a restaurant chain and waits patiently — with anticipation.
It knew that soon a Subway employee would wear a pair of gloves and make a special dinner for it for free.
A cute dog who hasn't been absent for a whole year won it the nickname Subwau Sally.
But even if Sally knew it would get a meal and water here in Subway, it would not exclude other restaurants that tried the area.
TikTok user Kxnuko, who also worked at Subway, said: "If we cannot give him food, it will cross the street to eat Taco Bell across the street."
Some netizens pointed out that the submarine fort Sally seemed too clean to be a stray dog — suggesting that it had a home, but sneaked out to eat. Kxnuko denied these speculations and explained that the whole community would take care of it. Sally's clean looks are to thank the lady from a flower shop nearby, who occasionally washes the waves.
But Sally's life on the street is still hard. Kxnuko stated that since he started work at Subway he had witnessed Sally being pregnant four times.
Although several rescue operations have been attempted in the past, Sally seems always to have a way back to the restaurant.
"Many people tried to take it away, but it never wanted to go," Kxnuko said. "I doubt it has a place to sleep, and perhaps it is there to look after its dog."
Kxnuko adds that Sally is not the only stray dog in his town who needs help. But he and his colleagues, as long as Sally has needs, will continue to take care of it. “It is part of the community.”
