In the face of lightning, it's normal for dogs to hide around, but every time a thunderstorm occurs, the dog's performance becomes worse, and fear of lightning increases, it's likely to be phobia, which is not the exclusive preserve of humanity. Of course, such external stimulus can also be other noises, such as the sound of motorcycles.
If in the face of excitement, the dog behaves as if he has phobia:
1) Stand in one place and don't move.
2) Run around like crazy.
# And it's shaking and shaking #
4) Excessive saliva, constant licking of lips
5) Incontinence
6) Excessive mourning
If your dog is what we're talking about, don't be discouraged, fear can be dealt with, at least it can be improved, and no one will let their children live in fear.
First, we can go to the hospital to conduct a full medical examination of the dogs and eliminate health problems that can lead to fear and anxiety, such as thyroid loss, adrenal cortex hyperactivity, etc.
The ability to strengthen dog compliance training, “sit down”, “stand still”, etc., allows it to focus on training and to temporarily reduce attention to stimulation when incentives such as lightning.
There are, of course, two more effective ways. One is de-sensitization training, written several times before. This is to obey orders, not to act in haste. Let the dog adapt slowly to it and build its confidence. If the dog is afraid of lightning, it can start with a little thunder. If there is no unusual reaction, reward it and then continue to increase the noise. If the dog shows fear at a certain volume, then goes back to the next level for adaptive training and increases the volume one by one, with incentives. Until dogs no longer react strongly to normal thunder.
This is short, but if it is actually trained, it will take a long time, months, and more than a year. After all, such adaptive training requires the patience and care of the master.

The second is to have the dog link something beautiful to lightning. For example, what kind of game methods and toys make dogs the happiest and most exciting when they play with dogs, and then remember that the next lightning comes to play with dogs, and the dogs come to realize that you can also play this funny game.
Of course, it would be better to combine the first and second approaches.
Unfortunately, if the dog is seriously ill, the above-mentioned method alone may not be effective and will depend on medication. If it is a little serious, some Chinese prescriptions are required. If the condition is severe, even anti-anxiety drugs are needed. The purpose of drug use is not to make dogs dependent on drugs, but to use drugs to help dogs overcome fear.
But for dogs with more severe conditions, it may be a lifetime of medicine to overcome fear. But I think in terms of the current level of most hospitals in the country, it's better to avoid dogs as much as possible when there's a stimulus like lightning.
