Hailey Hanestad, an eight-year-old girl from Wisconsin in the United States, had a slightly special pet, a poor “dog” who was a wounded orphan brought by Hailey's father from the forest three years ago. Hailey named it Wiley, who had been taken care of by his family, had recovered his health and become an important member of the family.
When Wiley was a kid, he was just like a normal puppy. For three years, a family had used Wiley as a dog, played with him during the day, left him to rest at night with the little master, who bathed him on time, even though he hated bathing as much as any other dog, and warmed it by the fireplace in cold winters, both in habit and lifestyle.
But in fact, Wiley is not a dog, but a wolf! Originally, with the adoption of DNR regulations in Wisconsin allowing hunters to hunt hyenas throughout the year, Hailey ' s father feared that the young wolf, who was already dying, would suffer again and decided to take it home for care.
Even though Hailey now knew that her pet was not a dog, but a wolf, they were still playing together and at night Haley was practicing howling with Wiley. This pet is special, but growing up under the watch of a wolf is a happy thing!
