In its task of searching for vessels operating in violation of the law, Black Bay, with the advantage of a keen sense of smell, searched in a bush of one person for more than three hours, eventually assisting the patrol team in successfully locating three illegal vessels, releasing more than 300 kilograms of precious water and stabilizing the ecosystem of the border.
As a member of the Border Guard Company, Herbé became a logical border guard and its main occupation in patrolling. The harsh patrol environment is a great challenge to the troops, given the heavy winter snowstorm and temperatures of more than 20 degrees centigrade. Herbé is still at the forefront, running cold, climbing ice and snow to carry out winter patrols, often on one patrol, and is exhausted.
Summer is also hard, rainy roads, mountains and water, and nasty mosquito bites.
