This is how the story begins.
A dog named Bailey died in less than five minutes at the beginning of the film, and it was magically reborn with memories. And met her master Ethan, who died after a happy life. However, the dramatic rebirth of Bailey, after five rebirths before and after, he finally realized his mission...

Maybe for people, it's the dog's mission, but for dogs, it only knows you're the owner, it wants you to be happy, and all your instructions are done seriously, just to make you laugh.
A single officer who was injured, never smiled. thinking that the master was alone because no one was sleeping with him, Bailey tried to sleep with him every night and finally stayed by his side as he wished, so that the master would not be alone. In one mission, however, Bailey eventually lost his life to protect the police officers.
This world, Bailey, has done its mission with honor, but it has not been happy, and its life has not been able to end, and it may well be impossible for millions of functional dogs.
IV: You don't understand me. I know you.
In the fourth century, Bailey was turned into a short-legged Corky, who met a girl who wanted love but did not speak well in her heart, and with Bailey's company, the girl Maya was very happy and finally found her happiness.
Bailey gave Maya a lifetime of company and spiritual belonging, watching Maya grow old from falling in love to getting married and having a child, and finally, for more than a decade, but he died depressed because he missed the memory of playing with him and running with him.
Although Maya gave Bailey a nice environment, she didn't know Bailey in the end. Before Bailey died, Maya asked him, "What do you think?" And then she cried very sadly because even though she knew her very well, she never understood what she was thinking.
The life of Bailey is the same fate as most dogs in the city. While there is a secure environment, there has been no abandonment and insecurity. But the masters see them as private pets and do not care too much about their ideas and what they want. This is also the fate of most urban dogs, who spend their lives in small houses waiting for the return of their owners. A lifetime of expectation, a lifetime of depression.

The fifth-born Bailey, a Saint Bernard, was brought home by a bad girl who loved the puppy but did not take care of it because her boyfriend opposed it.
Bailey was locked in the yard, from the pups to the adults, from spring and summer to autumn and winter, and never came out and received any care. After the teenage boyfriend abandoned it, it chose to leave.
After being in the third world, and having never played with Bailey, this time without the present master's mission, it is finally going to find the joy in its memory.
After all the waves, Bailey came back to Ethan and found out that Ethan wasn't happy, that it helped Ethan find happiness and that he was back from home. But it lets him know it's Bailey. It doesn't forget him!
Bailey picked up the ball they used to play with, and he was eager to tell Ethan that he was back, that he was so happy and excited that he hoped that Ethan would recognize it.
Of course it's a warm ending, using their unique game skills to get Ethan to know it's back.
This film is very meaningful, and it tells us for the first time what dogs think, what they want, and how they loved us. And we, the most emotional animals, often do not understand this friend who has always been with us, and often even bring harm to them.
