Under the scheme of free transfer of precious pets to lure pet lovers to hook up and then request payment of thousands of dollars of “freight” to designated logistics companies on the grounds that the transport of living goods does not support the delivery of the goods.
Since July this year, the Shanghai Police have reported several similar cases, which have been committed in the same way, mostly in the form of exotic adoptions, for which freight charges have been made on several occasions. In response, the police cautioned against the need to be cautious about the adoption of pets in the diaspora. Vigilance should be exercised in cases where the price of “adoption” is significantly lower than the market price.

Ms. Chiang, who lives in Qing Po, has always loved small animals and wants to have a cat or a puppy as a pet to accompany herself. In July of this year, she saw a post on her web site in 58, where a three-month-old Garfield was given free of charge. The author states that he did not have time to take care of a three-month-old Garfield cat in his home for work reasons and wanted to find a nice person to adopt him for free. Ms. Jiang was very moved to see it, and she learned from online inquiries that Garfield cats are very expensive, sold at a low price of $23,000, and that the best variety is worth tens of thousands. As a result, she added the QQ left by the sender and contacted each other.
“She called me to tell me that she worked near Nanjing East Road, but that the cat was not in Shanghai but in Guangdong, his home. If I want, you can deliver it to me, but I'll take the freight.” Ms. Chiang said that the sender claimed that the freight charges were approximately $200 and that there was a deposit of $400 for a dedicated cat cage, which could be returned upon arrival.
An agricultural bank account was subsequently sent to Ms. Jiang, stating that “this is the account of Ningho Logistics”. Ms. Chiang entered the other account with him.
“Just a little while ago, I was informed by a customer service call on the website that remittances were frozen.” Ms. Chiang said that the client service had told her that remittances should have a change, such as $601 and $600.1 to facilitate verification, or else they would have to freeze accounts. If activation is needed, the funds must be re-entered twice the original amount, “I will call an additional $1202 and return them to me when the account is activated”.
Ms. Chiang believed it, remitted $1202. However, “logistics” still does not have “transmittances”: “The other party says they are company accounts and must remit more than $5,000 to a private account.” The client's service suggests that Ms. Jiang should re-transfer more than 3,800, which will be repaid after 5,000.
“I was a little hesitant at this point, but I thought I'd already turned 1,800, and then I turned back on my teeth.” When the third transfer was successful, both the passenger and the “seller” phones were shut down. Ms. Chiang realized she had been deceived and immediately called the police, and she thought afterwards that the logistics company was also fictional.

Journalists entered the “Guffy Cat” online at 58, and found a “Careful Adoption” post. According to the other party ' s QQ, the journalist contacted the author.
"Will you take good care of cats and cats, and walk with them?" ...The seller asked journalists very carefully whether they had the experience and time to care for cats, and showed great concern. The author stated that she was a Beijingian, worked as an intern in Shanghai and had recently been transferred to seek a new responsible owner for cats and cats.
After ascertaining the journalist ' s sincerity, she agreed to give the kittens to the press for maintenance free of charge. She stated that cats in Beijing could be sent to Shanghai only for 300 yuan to be paid to logistics companies, and journalists were happy to agree.

Ms. Fu said, "I also adopted a cat free of charge online, and she said she was a long-sander in Shanghai, and the cat in Changsha, who asked me to transfer the logistics fee to "Enjoy Logistics", was deceived away by 2,000, and I called the police here in Changsha."

There's a strict procedure for shipping pets.
Journalists were informed by the police that, in July of this year, Shanghai had reported several cases of fraud involving “free adoption of pets”, which were largely alien adoptions, claiming freight charges on the pretext that they were paid: “The pets themselves were worth thousands of yuan, the adopters only had to pay hundreds of dollars, and the other party would offer a logistics company's web site or phone call and then request the adopters to continue sending remittances on the grounds that they were misdirected and the system was upgraded.”
The police have warned of the need for caution in the adoption of pets in the off-site, of strict procedures for the shipment of pets, and of the need for inspection by departments such as the Department of Disease Control and the issuance of vaccination certificates for animal health. In cases where the price of “adolescent canine cat” is clearly below the market price, vigilance should be raised and citizens should be advised to choose, to the extent possible, formally known logistics companies and to choose on-the-job payments and not to remit them directly.
