On 16 March, several pet dogs in the Silver Lake Emerald district of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, died after they were suspected of eating toxic ham sausages. On 17 March, two dog owners told cover journalists that, on the evening of 16, their pet dogs suspected that they had eaten in a small area of the garage and had vomiting symptoms after they had been able to get intestines scattered over the ground and died shortly afterwards.
According to Ms. Huang, her neighbour had deliberately poisoned several pet dogs. In response, Ichi told the cover journalist on the phone that there might be a “misunderstanding” and that he had commissioned a lawyer to deal with it.
On 18 March, the police of the East and West Lake Substation of the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau informed the cover journalist that the investigation was still under way and that the outcome of the investigation was dependent on the case.
Many pet dogs are suspected of dying after eating ham intestines.
The dog owner: Someone deliberately poisoned him.
On 17 March, Ms. Ping, an alias owner of the Silver Lake Emerald District, told cover journalists by telephone that on the night of 16 March, she had seven and a half years of bear dogs in her family, suspected of vomiting after eating ham and larvae scattered over the garage floor.
“My husband walked the dog, he didn't notice. If we see it, we won't let the dog eat, we won't usually let the dog eat outside." She stated that her husband walked the dog in the garage for more than 20 minutes, and that the dog started vomiting when he returned home, and died 10 minutes later.
Another dog owner, Ms. Wong, also stated that at about 20 p.m. on 16 p.m., her father took a pet dog to the garage to walk with the dog, one of whom shortly after vomiting symptoms had occurred and had not been brought back to the pet hospital. A photograph of vomiting provided by Ms. Huang showed ham intestines. She states that vomiting and stomach extracts from dogs are currently submitted to the police for identification.
Staff at the Daehua Pet Clinic near the northern gate of the Emerald Lake District told reporters that, on the evening of 16, the clinic had received three pet dogs with symptoms of poisoning, that Ms. Huang's Teddy Dog and another yellow field dog had arrived without vital signs and that “the third one was less breath than a bear, but did not come back”.

Neighbors say there's been a misunderstanding.
Ms. Wong stated that she believed that the dog had been deliberately poisoned to death. “This time, three dogs died together, causing outrage, and we went together to check the surveillance.” She described the call for surveillance and found that a man was suspected of “doing poison” in a underground garage that night.
According to a surveillance video provided by Ms. Huang, on 16 March at about 1850, a man in white and black pants was carrying a white pocket and was waiting in front of a green garbage can in the garage in Area C, but was unable to discern the man ' s specific behaviour.
At about 1945 p.m., Ms. Huang ' s father appeared on the scene with three dogs, in which the grey Teddy stopped on the ground by garbage. At about 2014 hours the surveillance scene appeared with the same men in white and black.
According to Ms. Wong, the man in the above-mentioned picture was his neighbour, Ni, who came to the house for consultations on the morning of March 17th.
“He said he did not know that the poison was so powerful, that he bought it, that he was just trying to scare him.” Ms. Niu and she said that this was done because “the dog always pees on his tires”.
On the afternoon of 17 March, Ichi told the cover journalist by telephone that there might be a “misunderstanding” of the incident and that he had commissioned a lawyer to deal with it.

Ms. Huang stated that the deceased Teddy Dog had been taken home at the end of 2020 at a cost of more than $20,000, that the police had taken out the vomit from the dog and that the forensic doctor would conduct an autopsy to determine what had led to his death. She also stated that there was no need for compensation, but only for legal accountability.
On 17 March, a staff member of the silver lake emerald property industry stated that cleaning had already been done in the garage and that the police had intervened on the day of the incident, and that they would cooperate in the investigation if the police needed it.
On 18 March, the police of the East-West Lake Subdirectorate of the Wuhan City Public Security Bureau told cover journalists that the incident was still under investigation and that much needed to be done to verify whether it constituted a follow-up investigation. “The dog owner spoke on the one hand and the other (with his own statement), so we had to look into it clearly and not draw any conclusions”.
