On 24 September, a tiger-eating “sons” occurred at a zoo in the city of Twijang, Yunnan Province, which caused concern. A 20-second video on the Internet shows two tigers in a tiger's den, one of them lying on the ground asleep, and a large tiger on the left is chewing on his mouth, which is said to be a new calf.
In interviews with journalists, it was reported that the incident took place in a contours Zoo located in the Zoo Park in the Zin Park of the Riang District of Yunnan Province. An eyewitness described the scene as he was passing by around 4 p.m. the same day and saw many people staring through the glass, asking to know that the tiger inside had eaten the newly born tiger, and that some had filmed the whole eating process.
"It's too bad that we all think that a tiger that's no longer poisoned will not eat its own children. What's wrong with this tiger?" Some netizens are surprised by the video.
The journalist contacted the director of the small zoo. He described the female tiger as a Zoo breeder, five years old, weighing about 200 pounds, strong and standing almost 2 metres high.
He claims that on the afternoon of September 24th, the tiger's mother was in the pit, tied to her first child and gave birth to a calf of about 2 pounds, “it had an instinctive stress when it gave birth, it was very alert, and the breeder could only observe far away from it, or it would have eaten people, and I was at the scene, and we saw the tiger's mother licking after she had given birth. It was, however, unmoved for a long time, when the tiger's mother decided that it was a dead child, and then started eating it, and very soon the calf was eaten cleanly and even the placenta was eaten.”
The officer stated to the journalist that if the calf was alive, it would scream when licked by the tiger ' s mother and would climb and move, in which case the tiger ' s mother would never eat it.
The officer-in-charge, as a veterinarian, further described the fact that tigers were cat animals and that their natural nature was to eat dead calves and prevent aggression by other beasts, which was a normal phenomenon and was purely natural.
