On 21 September, the first Round Table on High Quality Development of the Collaborative Pet Economy was held in Chongqing Nagakawa. The meeting, which was held under the umbrella of Rusu Industry, focused on the core issue of high-quality development of the pet economy, on-site synchronisation of contracts, sign-off ceremonies, the establishment of high-level communication platforms for collaborative development of the pet industry in both locations, and the injection of new energy into the ecosystem of the entire industrial chain of the pet economy.
The event took place with the strategic collaboration of the Youngchon Lusu focal area of the collaborative pet industry chain, the signing ceremony of the Western Pet Identification Centre, and the unveiling of the Centre for the Study of Pro-Friendly Commercial Ecology and the Western Centre for the Study of Drug Innovation in Pets.
In recent years, many districts, such as Nagakawa, Taido, Qishan, Kowloon Poe and Yunchang, have been actively organizing pet parks and innovative platforms to promote industrial clustering and differentiation.
In particular, in the areas of pet food, supplies, medical care, and pharmacological equipment, the Nagakawa project has been active in organizing the whole industrial chain, introducing the Western Institute for the Study of the Life of pets, leading institutions such as Dashing Biology and leading firms, supporting universities and colleges in the development of specialties such as pet medicine, nursing and nutrition, promoting the in-depth integration of research and studies, accelerating the construction of biotechnology estates, actively exploring new business models such as pets + tourism, “pets + well-being”, creating consumer scenes such as pet friendly hotels, friendly businesses, etc., and accelerating the development of new economic growth points.

As the city's vice-centre for the development of Chongqing, and as the International Open Hub in Susai, Nagakawa is both an important heritage of the Chongqing pet economy and a key interface for collaboration between Luyu Industries.” The Deputy Secretary-General of the Nagakawa District Council and the Governor of the District have been able to say that the first round table on the quality of pet economic development in Luyu will create a high-level platform for synergy between the two industries and establish a normal cooperation mechanism that will bring new dynamism and new ideas to the development of the pet economy.
“Advancing quality development in the pet economy is our common aspiration and responsibility.” Song Wenjun, President of the Petty Industries Branch of the Chongqing City Livestock Association, expressed the hope that the conference would serve as a new starting point for deepening exchanges and working together to create a new situation for the development of the Ruyu pet industry and to make a new and greater contribution to the high-quality development of the national pet industry.

At the ensuing round table, there was an exchange of presentations by guests from the Shandong Petty Industries Association, Chongqing City Agricultural Rural Commission and Chongqing College.

As the consensus for cooperation reached at this round table moves forward, with the pet economy as the entry point, and with the continued deepening of industrial resource alignment, the transformation of technological results, and joint talent development, Nagakawa will further develop its role as a “bridge link” based on its own industrial base and location, promoting more pet industry innovation projects to land, feature landscapes, and contributing to the upgrading of the pet economy cluster, while providing replicable and replicable practical experience for cross-regional industrial collaboration and high-quality development of the pet economy across the country.
