In order to enrich animal displays and attract customers, during the period from July to March, Ding illegally acquired valuable and endangered wildlife from others.
In July, Tiny bought a “green iguana” at a cost of $6,000 through micro-credit payments. The lizard was delivered by the seller via express delivery to Ding Yi. The lizard was placed in the office and subsequently died as a result of the improper breeding, and was abandoned for disposal by an arranger.

On 11 November, one of the “Taga Lizards” and one of the “Black Throat Giant Lizards”, who had taken the initiative to surrender the case to the public security organs, was handed over by the latter in accordance with the law.
