In recent days, 25 of the building's tenants' balcony has become "the kingdom of snakes." The remaining corn snakes creep in the incubators, and skin fragments and excrement pile up into small mountains. When the neighbours found it, people woke up in the middle of the night with the ceilings and a runaway young snake was found in the elevator.
When the forestry sector intervened, it was found that the tenant had neither been registered for business nor had obtained a Wildlife Rotation Licence. More seriously, the samonella, which breeds snake excreta, has infiltrated the wall, causing respiratory infections in the downstairs household. Eventually, a professional snake-hunting team cleared the scene with snake hooks and anaesthesia guns,2 and two adult snakes died of chronic malnutrition.
"It's not a pet. It's an ecological experiment in a residential area." Wildlife experts have warned that “near snakes may damage local ecological chains, although they are not toxic.” The incident led to the introduction of the Interim Regulation on the Management of Divorcing, requiring the breeder to report regularly on animal numbers and health status.
