Recently, a short video by Zhejiang men to rescue stranded dolphins was set on fire on social platforms. It is known that dolphins are stranded in the 20 sections of the Hangzhou Chan Tong district, where the money pond beach is painted.
The Chandong River, the largest river in Zhejiang province, is rare in inland rivers. In response, the expert indicated that the stranded dolphin could be physically ill and needed to return to a viable sea as soon as possible.
At around 10 a.m., the director of the Rural Rural Department of Chandong District, Hangzhou City, stated that the dolphin had been found in the area of the Chandong River, near the Yangtze Road in the Upper City of Hangzhou City. It's the third time it's in the Gang. At present, rescue teams are also on their way to dolphins to prepare for rescue.
Dolphins show up three times.
The morning tide of 4 days is early hours. At more than 1 p.m., several citizens covered the beach to rescue a stranded dolphin, the first time that dolphin had appeared in the Chandong River.
According to media reports, one man who was involved in the rescue recalled that dolphins were about two metres long and that their skin was dry enough to sound heavy. Later, together with two other men, he carried the dolphins to areas where they were exposed to a return wave, and the dolphins were released from the tide and the rescue process was filmed and uploaded to the Internet, causing concern.
“As a preliminary conclusion, this shallow dolphin should be an adult long-kissed dolphin with a size of about 1.5 metres.” Chang Chang Feng is the head of the Hangzhou Mayor Joe Aquatic Wildlife Rescue Team and is a senior marine biologist.
On 6 June, dolphins appeared in the Chandong River and were identified as largely stranded dolphins. Chang Chang Feng was at the scene. He remembered the dolphin. The rescue team arrived at the scene after the second incident. In three days, Changchang Feng indicated that the dolphin was probably brought in by tides and washed into the beach when he appeared in the Chandong River.
At around 10 a.m., Chen Haechi, head of the Forestry and Fisheries Section of the Rural and Agricultural Department of Chandong District, Hangzhou City, told journalists that a new development had been discovered for the dolphin, which appeared in the area of the Chan Tong River, near the Yangdong Road in the Upper City of Hangzhou City. Chen Haiqi also arrived and saw the dolphin roaming the river for the third time in Chandong River.
Expert ' s initial sentence: stranded dolphins or dislocated due to illness
Changchang Feng says it is rare for dolphins to be present in Chandong River. “Dolphins are marine creatures, not living in freshwater areas like Chanchang River. Over the years, marine life has rarely been found in freshwater areas.”
He described the porpoise ' s preference for grouping, sexual activity and good diving, mainly in tropical, subtropical and warm shallow sea areas of the Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean, especially near coasts and continental shelf waters, where fish shrimps and squid were fed.
Dolphins rarely appear in the Chandong River, and have run aground, with Chang Feng judging that the dolphin may be physically ill. “From one sea to the Chandong River, the dolphin’s physical strength is likely to be exhausted, and it may have been separated from its team, as well as a problem with its navigational system in the body, with certain physical conditions. The particular situation requires a detailed examination of the dolphin.”
“The environment, water flow speed and visibility in the Chandong River should be alien to this dolphin, unable to survive in the long term, and it needs to return to a viable sea as soon as possible.” Chang Feng said that dolphins like to live in warmer waters, an environment more suitable for their survival and reproduction. Dolphins have higher body temperature than the surrounding water environment, and warm seas can also help dolphins reduce body temperature dissipation and maintain normal physical function. “It is winter and the water temperature is low, and this dolphin will not survive in the short term.”
Local agricultural sector and rescue teams continue to focus on dolphins.
“It's been wandering around the river, it looks a little fragrance, and then the tide rises, and it's always going upstream.” In the afternoon, Chen Haiqi saw the dolphin by the Chandong River.
He was at the scene with the relevant staff of the Agricultural Rural Department of Chandong District and stood ready to assist the dolphins. At around 5 p.m. on that day, the river surged and the tide rose. “Because of the high tide, which is beneficial for dolphins to swim, dolphins are also more flexible and do not have the means to rescue.” Chen Hae-chi said.
Chen Haechi told journalists that in recent days, the authorities and rescue teams have been following the situation in the Chandong River area, and that the river is being monitored by patrols who call the tide, “if the dolphin is once again stranded, we will first rescue”.
The rescue team at Changchang Feng is also ready to assist. “The members of the rescue team have expertise.” Chang Feng indicated that in the event of a grounding of a creature such as a dolphin, the animal itself would first be observed with his or her naked eye, making a preliminary assessment of the body, mental state of the animal and then carrying out some medical examinations. If there's nothing wrong with the animals themselves, you can try to release them. Chang Chang Feng said, "It's time to return it to the sea."
What, then, should citizens do before a professional rescue team arrives when marine life is stranded? Changchang Feng suggested first to report the situation to the police. Secondly, the site is protected where conditions exist. “A creature like a dolphin, for example, has a breathing hole on its side, which could be blocked if the body turns, so that it can be helped to breathe properly, or, as much as possible, aquatic organisms can be wet, with a wet towel, and in the summer it can be helped to make a sunscreen, waiting for a professional rescue team to arrive.”
Chang Feng reminds that in the case of organisms in need of rescue, rescue should be based on knowledge to avoid secondary damage to wildlife caused by misconduct.
