In recent days, Sichuan Ganzi, a member of the network, has published a video that a customer's pet cat appears to have been “touched” into a cave by a groundhog, leaving a note with links and a promise of reward after the cat's owner had suffered. On 14 January, local village committee staff told journalists that cats had been found and returned to their owners and that cats had run into holes themselves.
In the vicinity of the groundhog cave, there was a piece of paper crushed by stone, which read: “My own cat (Gafi), called Little 566, yellow and white, thanks for the red bag if you see the invitation to call”. In response to a question from netizens as to “why not open the hole”, they explained that “too many holes, too long to dig”.
The netizens who posted the video told the reporters that they had heard the cat owner say that the cat went into the groundhog's hole and asked him to watch if the cat would come out.
Journalists noted that there were comments from netizens in the video comment area that cats had been found. A video released by another netizens showed a yellow-white Garfield cat in another cave nearby being fed. The comment area also has Internet users who claim that the cat has come out of the cave and contacted the owner.
Local village committee staff confirmed this to the press and indicated that the cat had been found and returned to the owner. The staff member also revealed that the cat ran himself into a hole.
