The sharing industry is booming, and the Asia-Pacific pet industry's flagship show is a great show

On August 24, the Asia-Pacific pet industry flagship exhibition - the 27th Asian pet exhibit in 2025 - was accepted. The exhibition, held at the New International Fair in Shanghai, attracted over 510,000 viewers from 20 to 24 August, both inside and outside the industry. The 310,000 square metres exhibition witnessed the new height of the pet industry and the growth of shared industries both at home and abroad.

According to the 2025 White Paper on the Chinese pet industry, the size of the urban (dog and cat) consumer market exceeded 300 billion yuan in 2024, an increase of 7.5 per cent over the same period. The pets are more consuming and tend to buy high-quality and practical products, with increased interest in the quality, reputation, value for money, etc. of the products, and a higher preference for smart goods.

At this Asian pet show, the T.A.A. Outdoor Market 3.0 has been completely upgraded, along with the children's exclusive water party, the pet sports challenge, the summer night "Swipetails" concert, and a wonderful performance "Single Lives".

At the 310,000 pictorials, viewers gathered in and out of the world, and the business climate was filled with enthusiasm among buyers and exhibitors. The pet industry leads companies from all regions of the country and abroad, imports big brands, brand names, emerging forces, etc., all gather here to provide a one-stop shop for trade procurement and cooperation.

Among them, the “eating forces” in the field of deep-farm pet foods cover seven large pavilions, presenting new items on the whole “Main food-snap-nutrition” scene, with a special three-year selection of a new brand of “new food power” to create fresh experiences of innovation, quality and weight; pet supplies and medical care remain spectacular and are the absolute attraction; New Zealand, the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Poland and Taiwan, China, with a title of 150 + the most powerful international exhibitors in history, bring a global trend of a line of products, of which the Polish team is the first to participate; and the small pets that have grown to the E3 complex are more exotic forces, displaying a subdivision of market life and are enthusiastically followed and surrounded by a large audience.

Some of the new and technically new items such as the first pet smartphone, the pet-driving partner who unlocks the dog's new position, the pet cooker that makes the star pet meal, and the accompanying machine dog are also on display.

Overseas buyers have been confident in the Chinese market and international buyers from more than 90 countries have visited the exhibition. The exhibition continued to serve as a platform for industry links, bringing together more than 40 “special buyers' groups” from industry associations, distributors, pet stores, etc., from all over the country, adding three main “nutrients”, “news” and “goods” arrays, leading core buyers, such as pets' stores, to the exclusive display route, and further developing trade routes in in in-depth exchanges with exhibitors.

Parallel to the Asia-Pacific Flag Fair for the pet industry, “Kyoto 14th International Petty Summit - The Asia CEO Summit, which focused on five main themes: global trends in petting, whole-life feeding, new forces of pet consumption, functional nutrition upgrading, qualitative technological innovation, brought together industry experts to share the latest technological and practical experiences, explore industry pain points and market potential, and crafted an intellectual feast on pet food development.

For the first time, the Shanghai City Business Council organized a Round Table Meeting on Communication among Governmental Enterprises for the Development of the Healthy Economy of Shanghai-based Pets, in which 12 departments, such as the Associated City Agricultural and Rural Commission, the Municipal Education Council, the Municipal Public Security Board, the Municipal Social Services Board, the City Hotel and the Municipal Market Board, the City Sports Board, the Municipal Talent Board, the City Civilization Office, the Rainbow Bridge Management Board and Shanghai Customs, together with more than 50 national and international pet-focused enterprises, conducted business exchanges on the development of the Shanghai-based pets economy, which sent a positive signal that Shanghai-based companies were committed to promoting the healthy development of pets and effectively boosted the confidence of a wide range of enterprises to invest in their development.
