According to the park nurse, the male pups were born on 16 July and the mother was a white rhinoceros “twos” and the female pups “sevens” were born on 24 July and the mother was “ten sisters”. Today, two of the cubs are breast-milk-oriented, showing their vitality: At birth, it weighs 61 kg and reaches 100 kg at full moon; and at birth, it grows well from 42 kg to 80 kg.

Today, the two cubs have been successfully integrated into the group, participating with the “large forces” in natural acts such as mud baths, food extraction and so forth.

The white rhinoceros, which are the second most land-based mammals after elephants, are characterized by thick, smooth, brown skin. The name “white rhinoceros” is not coloured, but is derived from the Dutch word “weit” (meaning “gang flat”), which describes its broad upper lip and is therefore also referred to as “tangular rhino”. The current global total of less than 20,000 white rhinoceros, a species that is located only in parts of South Africa, is classified in the World Conservation Union Red List of Endangered Species (IUCN Red List) as near-dangerous (NT) and faces serious challenges in terms of survival.

In order to simulate the natural habitat of white rhinoceros, the Kingdom of Qingy Long Forest has specially designed a natural exhibition area with rich containers such as mud ponds, stakes and suspensions. Yang Handong, Managing Director of the Kingdom of Long and Far Forest, said that mud baths were essential for white rhinoceros, not only to cool them, but also to protect their skin from ultraviolet radiation. The design of the exhibition area takes full account of the social needs of the white rhinoceros and, through the spatial division of science, ensures both individual activity and natural exchange of stocks.

It is known that the Guangdong Long Group has preserved the largest cattle stock in China, including white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros and Indian rhinoceros, and that the number of populations is growing every year.
