In recent days, several web videos have shown a tiger biting a cat in a hunting grounds in the Tibetan highland in Sining, Qinghai province. On 26 August, polar journalists learned from the zoo that the cat that had been bitten by a tiger might be a stray cat and that pets were prohibited from entering the zoo.
Videos released by netizens indicate that two tigers were walking in the Zoo Tiger Visiting Area, one of whom turned his head and shouted and scared the other. The tiger then launched an attack on the corner of a wall, and in a few seconds a cat was taken from the corner of the wall, looking around in his mouth, and the cat was struggling.
According to several netizens, the incident occurred on 25 August and the details are not clear. There was no response to a number of private letters sent by journalists of the highest profile.
